Being Depressed

September 11, 2009
He was unhappy these days. A few days later
his unhappiness turned into severe
depression. His heart felt like trapped
between the two powerful forces; each one
pulling it in the opposite direction. He
went on extravagant shopping sprees, ate his
favorite food, talked with his closest
friends but nothing and no one brought peace
to his doleful heart.
He opened his safe and took out some more
money for his lavish spending. He thought of
visiting Bali to cheer his dismal soul up.
However, what that pitiable man didn’t know
was that black money can buy everything but
happiness.

Happiness is the most valuable thing in this world, and that is one thing money can’t buy

I want to add one thing more, its not only happiness, its satisfaction as well…Its an intrinsic reward you get by earning legitimate money…

Agreed! At the end of the day happiness and satisfaction are synonymous.

    Well written….

Money can buy you a world but not single smile that comes deep from the heart, nor it can bring you satisfaction that is the most apparent and true gesture one can owe….
Comfort lies inside heart not in lavishness.

Hmmm very true 🙂 Money can definitely not buy you anything that really counts – I’ve heard people say that oh yes money can buy “everythin” N I feel so sorry for those thinkin in that direction, because I feel they only fooling themselves by thinking this way, they kind of hiding the real smile behind money for whatsoever fear. Happiness comes from within N peace is the last thing money can ever give – from how I’ve seen it in life, time when people had less money there was more care N now when they have lots of money, life’s become a race, never ending race N waste of life. God bless 🙂

Well money can literally buy everything (even love in certain cases – that may or may not be true is a different debate) but Happiness or Satisfaction… 🙂

Well, every individual thinks differently, from my point of view money can’t buy a singel moment of peace, the actual true peace. No doubt that money can buy everything, but everything that’s fake. N Kagaz Ke Phool Kaagaz Ke Hi Hote Hain. God bless 🙂

Actually I am also saying the same thing 😛

Money can’t buy happiness, peace, satisfaction etc.

I don’t know why from ‘Kaghaz ke phool’ this couplet came to mind:

ab ke bhicRe tou shaid kabhi khwabon main mile’n
Jis tarah sookhay huay phool kitabo’n main mile’n

      😕
