Wimbledon Final

July 5, 2009

roddickAlthough I had put my money on Andy Roddick (not literally) but in the end the usual monster of grand slams won the 4 hours and 17 minutes long (epic) battle. I have no regrets because Roddick provided us the best of entertainment and made a real match of the final game.

Score: Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick:  5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14

The Champion

federer

What an amazing match and an amazing champion. Am I wrong to think that Roger is the best player of all times?

So ultimately Federer surpasses Pete Sampras’ record of 14 Grand Slams with this 15th win. Undeniably, he’s been a relic of magnificence and immensity.

A great match no doubt but for me last year’s final was so much better in terms of quality n entertainment. This year’s final was dominated by serves (aces n all). Federer couldn’t break Andy’s serve at all :S

I think this was best of roddick against federer although i knew, without any exception that swiss will win. Great match though.
