Through To Final

June 18, 2009

semi-final

What a sensational match Pakistan had against South Africa? One couldn’t tell till the very last over as to who would make it to the final. Eventually, Pakistan did.

Afridi created magic with his bat and later on with ball. It was amazing to see him play a very sensible knock. Everyone played like a team.

I remember exactly a decade ago… this very month in the same country Pakistan took on Australia in the final of World Cup and lost miserably.

I wish they could win the T20 World Cup final in style; fulfill the dreams of cricket lovers and bring the title home. It is must to keep cricket alive in the terror-striken country.

Pakistan should feel blessed that their (more specifically their captain’s) howlers didn’t cost Pakistan’s pathway to the final. Depth overs’ pathetic batting, dropped catches, ridiculous bowling changes and illogical decisions; If nerve are not held for the conclusive match, it wouldn’t be probable to surpass the Caribbean Giants/Lankan Tigers.

Well done team Pakistan! calm your brain and blood as nation is keeping fingers crossed.

I missed to watch the live match due to no power in my area. Followed the match through mobilink sports updates. But it was entertaining to watch the highlights even, in the morning.

Despite the win, there have been quite blunders & drop catches.

Afridi has been making up for all the earlier caused disappointments… He may be granted aam muaafi if perform the same in the Final. 🙂

@BMK .. Afridi’s already redeemed himself; what else could one ask from him? Plus, he’s doing it consistently with the ball, the problem lies in us who expect way too much of a man never been consistent with the bat. After all he’s basically a spinner.

nahi chaddan gaa, I am not not gonna spare him till he brings the trophy home. He has been given more than enough chances with the bat for the last decade or so & disappointing fans quite often in the last 3/4 saal. 🙂

The team is doing well, beyond expectations now. It would be a bonus to win the trophy.

vaisay bhi hum Pakistanion k liye Australia aur India ka out ho jana is equivalent to winning the championship. 😛

and such a relief it has been, among all the bad things we get to hear on daily basis, this one was really relieving…lets hope we win finals too.

    @ BMK
I am with you. I am not gonna spare him either unless he brings the trophy home ! 😉
