PTV Long Play

January 19, 2009

This afternoon I checked the link of a play Zikr Hay Kai Saal Ka on BMK’s blog. I am a huge fan of PTV classics and due to the time constraint I prefer watching long plays instead of serials. So I thought to give it a try since I had never watched it before and it was superb to say the least.

The actors, the dialogues, the story and the entire feel was awesome. It’s been written by Dr. Anwar Sajjad, directed by Sahira Kazmi and has a wonderful soundtrack. The song has been sung by Nayyara Noor while one of the music pieces is an instrumental called Samina by Salman Ahmed.

It’s a must watch for all those who like meaningful stories. Ah, the last line… “because the life must go on.” How true is that… even if you hate it but you have to follow it!

wonder what would be Atiqa Odho’s actual age? This play seems 10/15 yrs. older, no?
Ali Kazmi is the one who’s there in the Mobilink’s add too, where he climbs up the khiRkiyan & everything to give back the dropped Jazz Card… hai na!!!

Asma: Sounds strange but very true!

Bmk: Isn’t she gorgeous? Well, I can’t make a guess either but she still seems fit and young for her (actual) age.

I didn’t recognize Ali initially, I thought the guy looked like young Shehzad Roy 😀 but then I got it. Yeah he does many plays and ads (including the Jazz ad you mentioned).

The girl was so cute and someone in the comments asked where is she now as she must have been grown into a beautiful woman 😉

Rahat kazmi has done overacting in that play for sure.Attiqa udho looks so unreal with all her eye rolling acting. i watched it few months back again and it was such a disappointment. I think i have grown out of ptv plays:p

    😀

Well, I think a lot depends on the state of mind while watching something. I liked it although I also felt the weaknesses in the play you mentioned.

As for growing out… we all do from many things with time 🙂
