Orkut

January 3, 2009

orkutlogo1Just checked this beautiful new year Orkut logo. I have really nice memories attached with this social networking site. I found out so many of my class fellows over there.

Later on due to lack of privacy my friends left it one by one. At that time Orkut had not introduced several privacy options and anyone could intrude the scrapbook.  So one day I too deleted my account because I believe social networking site is where friends are. There’s no point in communicating with strangers with weirdest nicks and display photos.

This is one of the challenges for social networking strategists, and they have worked on it. Facebook have far between privacy options.

How many of you switched to FB after it got recognition on the mainstream?

A latest report indicates that there are 376,800 Pakistani users on Facebook (Q4 2008).Some 93,000+ users from Pakistan got registered in the last quarter of 2008.
