I really don’t know what to write. I think we all know that:

We are having 11-12 hours of load shedding per day. If you know so what don’t I have a right to vent over here!

The Hindu Kush has always been active but it’s showing a lot of seismic activity these days. I woke up with an earth quake this morning. Then I felt the tremors again in the afternoon. That is sort of horrifying because… because 8th Oct, 2005 is still fresh in the memory. You can check the magnitude of the afternoon’s quake in the photo.

PCB sacked Lawson. Why? Because he failed to deliver. Poor guy! What difference Intikhab Alam (the new coach will make) is anyone’s guess. Javiad Miandad was also being considered for the same post but there is one problem with him, not only that he can’t speak properly (forgive me for being mean) but he’s been banned for life from visiting India. Did you forget that his son has been married to the daughter of gangster Dawood Ibrahim?

The same Dawood Ibrahim who has a residence in Karachi but the foreign office spokesperson would tell the world white lies about his presence in the country. And yes, this gangster is also wanted in the 1993 serial bombings of Bombay. I wonder how Javaid’s son ended up with a daughter of this goon, apparently both used to study in the UK. Seems like a story lifted from the Hindi movie.

The suicide bombers are relatively quiet but the terrorists are active or at least trying to be by issuing all sorts of insane statements to the media and vowing to unleash a new wave of terror soon.

I have always been a great fan of Mumtaz Mufti and after such a long time I am yearning to read his book called Talaash. It is based on anecdotes and stories from his life and from the lives of people he knew.

The weather has been awfully dry here. The leaves are covered with thick layers of dust giving them a gray color. The last time we’ve had rain, a real good one was on 5th of September. Imagine, no rain for over a month. And there is no prospect of rain in the neat future as every night the newscaster gives the bad news, “aindaa 24 ghanton main mulk bhar main mausam khusk rahe gaa” Thanks for telecasting such an accurate news.

And did I ever mention right here in the blogs that Dr. Shahid Masood’s salary pacakge is 40 lack Rs. Man, in such impoverished country do they deserve such huge salaries? And Sherry Rahman conveniently saved her government form the criticism in the assembly by stating that this package was fixed for the post of PTV’s chairman by the previous government. Pakistan re Pakistan teri konsi kal seedhi…

Furthermore, no need to mention the army of ministers for each ministry. It only happens in Pakistan… the largest cabinet, minister, junior minister and minister’s minister for each ministry. And where is the progress?

*Sigh* Guess before it gets further bitter… I should end here. See you later!

As for Geoff Lawson, I too am feeling pity for the man who was in charge of the affairs for just Five Tests and Ten One Dayers I guess besides some Twenty20’s where Pakistan reached the final of the world cup. His wasn’t a tenure to gauge the performance of an international coach as he had to sit and see the cancellation of series after series due to the poor security situation here in Pakistan.
Let’s see what Inti could bring to the Pakistan team if they get some cricket to play.

Lolls @ no need to mention the army of ministers for each ministry. It only happens in Pakistan… the largest cabinet, minister, junior minister and minister’s minister for each ministry. And where is the progress? .. 😀

That region seems very active. We can only pray for the welfare of the people living near that region. May Allah (SWT) keep us safe from such calamities. Ameen!

“this package was fixed for the post of PTV’s chairman by the previous government”

hahha the get-out-of-jail-free-card… never fails to work !

Peshawar has been really bad w.r.t weather lately. aur things haven’t been better as well. Peshawar is dropped from the list now, where I wanted a longer stay in my life.

The only good thing about Psh is Khyber Charsi Tikka. we should talk about good things. 🙂

Lol! BMK… that MSN line is funny!

And yes, nothing can beat chapli kebab and Charsi Tikka! 😛

Exquisite: Oh well, when such calamity strikes people say “yeh humaray aama’l ka nateeja hai” 😛 (It’s the result of our (wrongful) deeds)

Aadil: I also think they should have kept Lawson for some time. This shows the dirty politics going on in the circles of cricket all the time.
If you remember they appointed foreign coach saying that he stays apolitical and only concentrates on cricket. Now what?! How will Intikhab Alam think above that. Discipline is what he is aiming to bring back in the team. I doubt it he can. A couple of tours and he’d be shown the exist door as well.

Asma: We’ve been given relief from load shedding for sometime. Let’s see how long it goes like that.

DFR: Same here, I am not feeling well… allergies and seasonal cold etc.
