Pushto film actor Badar Munir dies
I don’t know how many of you know him. I know him because he used to act (mostly) in Pushto movies. I am not a fan of Pushto movies at all. But he was an evergreen hero who used to act with Asif Khan, the father of Arbaaz Khan and Badar also had a hit pair with Musarat Shaheen. He can rightly be called the Sultan Rahi of Pushto cinema. This man could act for sure. I realized that when I watched his (serious and clean) black & white movie. Vulgarity had not dominated Pushto cinema then.
He also met with SRK once while the later was shooting for Duplicate in Mauratius. I will not use cliche words like his death is the loss of Pakistani cinema because by and large I am anti Pakistani movies. (Anyone could be the kind of work they have been doing). But yes, he would be remembered as a fine actor by those who appreciate clean and sensible entertainment.
