Current affairs, security issues and challenges, local and international politics, social, cultural and legal issues, sports (mostly cricket and tennis), astronomy and cosmology (to the extent of watching documentaries), music, movies and literature – everything interests me.

Welcome to wordpress! Hope you’ll embellish your blog with your brilliant writings.
umeed laram che sta blog ba da ranha yao koshish wee, pa de gloomy wakhtoono ke
Thank you Aadil, I’ll try my best
Ayesha
Welcome to the world of Worldpress….Writing is not unfamiliar to us but its these layers of presentations, we have to learn….
I hope you put some more short stories. I have already added you on my blogroll….
Keep up the good work
Sure Kashkin, I’ll keep trying.
Pages looking real good – Very good posts as well. looking foeward to readin new stuff from you soon.
Thanks Nadeen!
the header’s beautiful! dark overwhelming clouds.
Love the new header – Its WAY WAY COOL!
Thank you guys
It’s my photography
“It’s my photography”
Yeah right! Next you will tell us you lent Dali a hand in painting The persistance of memory. *raised eyebrow*
you stand at the crossroads
of highroads and lowroads
and i’ve got a feeling
it’s right :p
Shobig, you don’t believe I took these photos? Hmm, means the pictures are nice.
The persistence of memroy (the painting) was made in 1931, I am not that old…
love the new header – Yellow is the best colour in pictures!
Thanks Nadeen!
Yes, it is indeed.
Ayesha, I’ve listened so many times a song on ptv, sung by ‘malka-e-tarrannum’ ‘Kabhi kitabon main phool rakhna’.I think that should be a red rose but ‘aap ki kitab main yellow’ What does its logic?
Convenience!
I didn’t find any other flower excpet for yellow jasmine.
should I say this header is an eye candy? yes probably …
Thanks aadil
I got it from the internet.
Nice page layout – You keep changing – Its good to have fresh outlook on our pages!
Especially your pages!
Thanks!
But I am planning to keep it for a while. There ain’t much to choose from. And actually in every theme some thing is missing. I like this one too much but if you notice the category and tags don’t appear under, above or on the side of the post.
I think I am finicky
*I think…* Uff! these mistakes and this theme doesn’t have the edit thingy either.
I love the header with the candles -Its beautiful – as usual, pages looking good
You are a designer – I bet you decorate the house as well – you have great artistic sense.
Thanks Nadeen! I basically changed the theme for you because you had problem seeing the comment box. As for the header yep it looks good
I live in the junk yard
I’ll decorate and unleash my artistic abilities only when I have my own home one day.
Thanks for your comments [rather no comments:)] for Daman-e-Koh pics. We were there with Aadil as he had not viewed ISB from there yet. chalo qasam tou tooti!
Thanks a lot – I love the candles in this theme –
And Goonga – you read comments on my pages but you never read the topic – you were one good addition to my comment box
I am there… Its just could not curb my nerves to respond her comments there, you know Api what I mean!
Ayesha – I had a room in my moms house – I loved it – kept it nice and clean – my room – and had colur theme in it – it was practice – when I got house of my own – I was already trained – I had issues cooking proper pakistani food – that was the real challange.
LOL – Rashid ji aap darr gaey – khoon sookh jaaey to insaan GGONGA ho hi jaata hai – Aapi ka danda – i like that – chalo parh to liya karo – khairiat ki khabar de diya kejiye please!
GGG..GOONGA is more like it – Shahrukh style – LOL!
…lol.
“Aap bhi kamaal karti hain Api, abhi abhi to apne Rashid bola, aur ek hi pal mein Goonga kar diya…”
But
“It‘s alright Senorita, Bade Bade Deshon Mein, Aisi Choti Choti Baatein Hoti Rahti Hain.”
Goonga…
DDLJ… I love it
And yes, your pictures are really very nice.
Nadeen, my artistic sense works well in the virtual world
DDLJ
I had watched it more than 50 times in one year when it was released. I had memorized its dialogues as we friends had a game of playing any of role(called by friends) any time at random. And I never got failed whenever I was challenged. {Raj: You son of a gun!}
I can’t tell how many times I have watched it. But what I know is that it is my all time favorite movie. And DDLJ made it to the Guniese Book of World Records as a longest running movie in the history of cinema.
If I am not wrong it still runs in some theater in Mumbai (since it’s release – non stop), one show per day (matinee show)
Testing…
What are you testing?
I checked the settings in my cell phone. They are fine and still the problem hasn’t been solved
I bet Rashid here is testing his Shahrukh Khan accent – please dont go shahrukh on me – I have had a crush on him since he came out – and he is 42 – right age for me too
Hey Goonga, I wish you would use your name Rashid in here – Its such a nice name – use it!
Chowk mein goonga hona behtar hota hai
If he was testing SRK’s accent he should have written KKKKK-Kiran
No Kiran in DDLJ – It was SIMRAN!:P
Yaar – go watch it again!
I know Raj and Simran
But Darr is my second favorite… so I thought he might be testing KKKKK- Kiran
I was just testing configurations for N-Series which I mentioned elsewhere.
Yes its Simran (Simi) & Raj and Guljeeta and chutki & O potchi, O koka, O bobi, O lola etc.
KKKK-Kiran has been real controversy involving SRK, Amir Khan and KKKK-Karan.
Hmm, already figured that
:Testing:
KKKK- Karan? I thought SSSSS- Sunny
Nice website. I also invite you to read interesting news, views and more at http://sheddy73.wordpress.com.
This is one my favourite headers in here.
Nice
Thanks Nadeen!
I got it from the website that has lots of headers…
Nice blog. I hope to return. And I ve added it on my blog roll; you don’t mind that?

Hmmm…you have not recognised me yet…check the IP address
Well… I don’t need to recognize friends 8)
Beautiful header! Good choice!
Thanks! I liked it for the bright color
bright colors
will need it after two weeks
Shades of red are so You. Good choice
Salam dear,

Dear Ayesha,
Accept my warmest wishes on scoring 10,000 views. On my click your tracker showed this five digit number
Thank you so much Shahid! I am amazed at the number of views because it seems just like yesterday when I had started this blog.
Thank you once again!
And thanks to all my regular readers/friends/visitors as well.
Love the header.
Gorgeous.
Thanks!
I keep changing it but this one is there for almost 2 months
Tagging you today – I dug up old photos from christmas here last year and also wrote about them – you have to read the post as a sample (Christmas 2007), then dig up old pics at your end, post them and also give info about them.
Lets see how you see things from your camera’s eye
Well, I never took photos of any places (as such)
Let’s see if I could post other photos (by me) and have some commentary
Good – looking forward to it
A nice theme:)
The header looks great on it!
Although I liked my previous theme but just for the sake of change, I changed it
yaar – this theme is same as my original one? Never realised how convenient it is to go through posts in this one – maybe I will change mine now too – high time!
Beautiful theme Ayehsa, and ur page is now full of coloures and various objects. Its awesome! Keep it on.
Asma: Sure do change your theme. I am looking forward to it
MZ: Thanks… wordpress is giving me some problems but hope that would be sorted out soon
This is the first blog from Peshawar that I’ve come across in blogistan. And I guess I would’ve followed it anyways.
Welcome!
You are also from Peshawar?
i can not read anything in the “About Me” section…
every single line is merged with the second one..
Really? But I can see it fine and no one else has complained either.
Yups, I’m also from the city of the bored.
Welcome!
Not everybody is welcome, eh?
Why not? Though can’t do anything about this stupid moderation thingy
You’ve just been TAGGED by ME!

nice poem. here is another one …
I carry a torch in one hand

With these things, I will set fire to Heaven

So that no one worship God
Out of fear of Hell
Or greed of Heaven.

Great!
Ayesha,
I recently came across your blog and was moved by your words and your story. I am writing from World Pulse Magazine, a media organization dedicated to broadcasting global issues through the eyes of women.
I would like to invite you to share your story on our social networking newswire, PulseWire, for possible syndication in our upcoming online and print editions. A newly created group on PulseWire called the “Pakistan Cafe” provides a platform for the unheard voices of women leaders and changemakers from Pakistan. This group offers a collaborative and safe discussion forum for you to share your thoughts, ideas, struggles, and emotions surrounding Pakistan. We invite you to speak about the issues and obstacles women are facing in your community, and to share the solutions that are already underway, or that we can develop together.
Our next print magazine, to be published in June, will include a Country Focus piece on Pakistan. We are looking to offer perspectives on the country that go beyond the image portrayed by mainstream media. By joining the Pakistan Cafe on PulseWire and posting a blog entry, your story has the chance to be included in our upcoming print issue. We welcome you to utilize this space to share whatever you’d like—be it your own portrait of Pakistan, your stories of struggle and conflict or your hopes and visions for the future of your country and people — with a supportive community of other women from Pakistan and across the globe.
I sincerely hope you will accept this invitation to join PulseWire and make a post in the Pakistan Cafe. We encourage you to post something new, or something you’ve written in the past. Poetry, stories, opinion pieces, or just a simple introduction are encouraged! The idea is to truly provide a space for women to join hands across borders, and all opinions and experiences are welcome.
To join this group, please visit http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/5053 and click “Join this group.”
You will need to register an account on PulseWire to be able to participate. If you need help doing this, please let me know!
And of course, I also encourage you to pass this invitation on to other friends, family, or colleague to spread the dialogue!
I am available to answer any questions you may have and to support you in any way possible.

Good work Ayesha..A word of advice from my side….. “KEEP IT COMING AND KEEP IT ORIGINAL”
Thank you so much for stopping by! I’ll try my best to keep this blog active
The new theme’s beautiful!
Whats the concept?
I was simply bored of those nature based headers. I tried uploading a painting but it didn’t work so I instead uploaded this beautiful illustration by Jeremy.
This is basically a desktop wallpaper. The concept, honestly, is not known to me. Let’s use our imagination and figure out.
By looking at the picture I feel the boy and the girl are about to start a new life but separately.
Hi Ayesha, you have an impressive blog. Good job, keep it up!

Thanks!
Yes, I did it in MS paint…

It isn’t a rocket science. Did it in MS paint and the sketch in a program called Picasso or something

Ayesha! It’s really a very interesting blog.. U have got a great taste and habits.. Here I should really mention my heartiest feelings about Peshawar, the city where though I lived only two years of my life at the start of my career when I was posted there after graduating from Punjab University Lahore. I really loved my old memories of those two years I spent at that Lovely city of Roses, Great Peshawar. I really enjoyed my time and I used to go Peshawar University, Islamia College and The British Council and French Cultural Centre at University Town. I am very sad about recent bombing going out in this great city. I really feel sorry for the city and the peace living citizens of Peshawar and let me tell U that we the people of Punjab and other provinces are with U in this time of sorrow and grief. May your great city finds its old peace and calm. Let us pray for that….
Adnan
Thank you for the kind words. Things have been changed quite a lot though all the places you mentioned still exist but common people aren’t allowed to visit.
Amen to your prayers for peace.
Hey Ayesha, are you Ayesha Banerjee from Wake Up Sid? I gotta talk to you then!
I hope you aren’t being sarcastic here!
Oh well, if you want to contact the beautiful actor who played Ayesha Benerjee in WUS then try your luck here: @konkonas
Well done job.
I thoroughly enjoyed your blog.
It interests me to say that I am also looking forward to make one. Here I would like to know can I make my URL like this, dryasirqureshi.com on word press? If yes, tell me step by step how is it possible.
Thanking you, once again, I appreciate.
Yes of course you can start one if you wish. You can contact me at nabeel@nabeelzafar.com for any details. Take care
Hey – guess what. I made an Urdu Quranic blog but couldnt get it to work. In deleteing it I deleted my English Quranic blog by mistake – My 110 posts!!!! So much work – gone in a click.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
ok ok calm down calm down….
Posts should have back up copies too – note to wordpress – please leave room for a genuine mistake.
I have made new one from scratch. You know me. I can redo anything.
http://quranicblog.wordpress.com/
Am glad you fixed it! Thanks to backup files…
You know pushto? oh, wrong question, Are you a pathan???
I came across your blog only today and I shall read it after my exam
Is my ethnicity important for you or one should see whether a person is good or not?
Oh well, even good or bad shouldn’t be the criteria even. As Oscar Wilde put it:
“It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious”
Welcome to my blog!
heh! Ethnicity, definitely, takes a backstage =D. It’s just very “exhilarating” to see another pathan out there
Oscar Wilde is too plain awesome
.
Thanks!
. I’m going to .. erm.. stalk you on your blog regularly now (not because you are a pathan though
. )
You are most welcome! I’m pretty used to stalkers now

Just stumbled across your blog ayesha. And thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. Great blog.
Good job
Best,
Leenah
Leenah thanks for stopping by! I am pleased you liked my blog although these days I’m terribly out of form in terms of writing!
Hi Ayesha,
Very nice effort at your blog – enjoyed reading it. I am a Masters student from School of Oriental and African Studies and I am actually doing my thesis on studying blogs written around the cases of Dr. Afia (and the girl-flogging video and news around it that came up from Swat). Your blogs popped up when I put in Dr. Afia in wordpress tags search engine. I was wondering, if you have come across other “bloggers” writing about Dr. Afia or if you wrote more stuff about her. I would very much like to include these in my thesis studies. Was wondering if you would be so kind to give me some leads if you have an idea.
Thank you so much and look forward to hearing from you,
Fiza
