A beautiful evening (25th of May, 2007)
I am not a writer, I am not a poet, I don’t possess the art of eloquence but I try nonetheless to jot down whatever is on my mind. Speaking your mind through writing is the coolest thing especially when there aren’t many people around to listen to your rants and mumbles.
This blog is my voice, it’s a window to my inner self!
PS: Finally I managed to upload a header and this time it is the one created by me. However, I took the photo of moleskine journal from flickr.
PSS: The photo above was taken by me!

Welcome to wordpress! Hope you’ll embellish your blog with your brilliant writings.

But I am planning to keep it for a while. There ain’t much to choose from. And actually in every theme some thing is missing. I like this one too much but if you notice the category and tags don’t appear under, above or on the side of the post.
I think I am finicky

Ayesha – I had a room in my moms house – I loved it – kept it nice and clean – my room – and had colur theme in it – it was practice – when I got house of my own – I was already trained – I had issues cooking proper pakistani food – that was the real challange.

Nadeen, my artistic sense works well in the virtual world
By: Ayesha on July 16, 2008
at 4:42 pm
DDLJ
I had watched it more than 50 times in one year when it was released. I had memorized its dialogues as we friends had a game of playing any of role(called by friends) any time at random. And I never got failed whenever I was challenged. {Raj: You son of a gun!}
By: Goonga on July 17, 2008
at 5:10 am
I can’t tell how many times I have watched it. But what I know is that it is my all time favorite movie. And DDLJ made it to the Guniese Book of World Records as a longest running movie in the history of cinema.
If I am not wrong it still runs in some theater in Mumbai (since it’s release – non stop), one show per day (matinee show)

By: Ayesha on July 18, 2008

I bet Rashid here is testing his Shahrukh Khan accent – please dont go shahrukh on me – I have had a crush on him since he came out – and he is 42 – right age for me too
Hey Goonga, I wish you would use your name Rashid in here – Its such a nice name – use it!

If he was testing SRK’s accent he should have written KKKKK-Kiran
By: Ayesha on July 19, 2008
at 11:11 am
No Kiran in DDLJ – It was SIMRAN!:P
Yaar – go watch it again!
By: Nadeen on July 19, 2008
at 11:26 am
I know Raj and Simran
But Darr is my second favorite… so I thought he might be testing KKKKK- Kiran
By: Ayesha on July 19, 2008
at 11:32 am
I was just testing configurations for N-Series which I mentioned elsewhere.
Yes its Simran (Simi) & Raj and Guljeeta and chutki & O potchi, O koka, O bobi, O lola etc.
KKKK-Kiran has been real controversy involving SRK, Amir Khan and KKKK-Karan.
By: Goonga on July 21, 2008

Hmm, already figured that
:Testing:
KKKK- Karan? I thought SSSSS- Sunny

nice poem. here is another one …
I carry a torch in one hand
And a bucket of water with the other
With these things, I will set fire to Heaven
And put out the flames of Hell
So that no one worship God
Out of fear of Hell
Or greed of Heaven.

Ayesha,
I recently came across your blog and was moved by your words and your story. I am writing from World Pulse Magazine, a media organization dedicated to broadcasting global issues through the eyes of women.
I would like to invite you to share your story on our social networking newswire, PulseWire, for possible syndication in our upcoming online and print editions. A newly created group on PulseWire called the “Pakistan Cafe” provides a platform for the unheard voices of women leaders and changemakers from Pakistan. This group offers a collaborative and safe discussion forum for you to share your thoughts, ideas, struggles, and emotions surrounding Pakistan. We invite you to speak about the issues and obstacles women are facing in your community, and to share the solutions that are already underway, or that we can develop together.
Our next print magazine, to be published in June, will include a Country Focus piece on Pakistan. We are looking to offer perspectives on the country that go beyond the image portrayed by mainstream media. By joining the Pakistan Cafe on PulseWire and posting a blog entry, your story has the chance to be included in our upcoming print issue. We welcome you to utilize this space to share whatever you’d like—be it your own portrait of Pakistan, your stories of struggle and conflict or your hopes and visions for the future of your country and people — with a supportive community of other women from Pakistan and across the globe.
I sincerely hope you will accept this invitation to join PulseWire and make a post in the Pakistan Cafe. We encourage you to post something new, or something you’ve written in the past. Poetry, stories, opinion pieces, or just a simple introduction are encouraged! The idea is to truly provide a space for women to join hands across borders, and all opinions and experiences are welcome.
To join this group, please visit http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/5053 and click “Join this group.”
You will need to register an account on PulseWire to be able to participate. If you need help doing this, please let me know!
And of course, I also encourage you to pass this invitation on to other friends, family, or colleague to spread the dialogue!
I am available to answer any questions you may have and to support you in any way possible.
In partnership,

Whats the concept?
By: Aadil on June 16, 2009
at 6:33 am
I was simply bored of those nature based headers. I tried uploading a painting but it didn’t work so I instead uploaded this beautiful illustration by Jeremy.
This is basically a desktop wallpaper. The concept, honestly, is not known to me. Let’s use our imagination and figure out.
By looking at the picture I feel the boy and the girl are about to start a new life but separately.

Ayesha! It’s really a very interesting blog.. U have got a great taste and habits.. Here I should really mention my heartiest feelings about Peshawar, the city where though I lived only two years of my life at the start of my career when I was posted there after graduating from Punjab University Lahore. I really loved my old memories of those two years I spent at that Lovely city of Roses, Great Peshawar. I really enjoyed my time and I used to go Peshawar University, Islamia College and The British Council and French Cultural Centre at University Town. I am very sad about recent bombing going out in this great city. I really feel sorry for the city and the peace living citizens of Peshawar and let me tell U that we the people of Punjab and other provinces are with U in this time of sorrow and grief. May your great city finds its old peace and calm. Let us pray for that….

Thank you for the kind words. Things have been changed quite a lot though all the places you mentioned still exist but common people aren’t allowed to visit.
Amen to your prayers for peace.
