The situation is becoming grim with each passing day. It was around 3:20 AM Sunday morning when I heard a series of blasts and subsequent gun fires by the security forces. It continued for an about forty minutes or so.
This morning read the news that 250 Taliban militants in a well planned attack torched almost 65 trucks that were loaded with goods for the NATO forces and were ready to leave for Afghanistan. Moreover, the attack claimed three lives as well, including that of a watchman.
The militants fired ten rockets and also doused trucks with petrol and set them alight. This is a second attack in less than a week on the NATO terminal.
Peshawar-Khyber-Torkham is a popular route for NATO supplies to Afghanistan. Almost 70% of the supplies move through this route. Given the frequent attacks, NATO is seeking alternative routes through China and Russia but not only the road and rail infrastructure is poor but those route would be time and money consuming too.
Yeah right, the situation is becoming severe day by day, but the most funniest thing is that “America’s puppet” Karzai demanded a time table to end Afghanistan occupation by NATO forces.

No matter how bad it is, but there is one thing good in this. At least Taliban have started targeting American bases more frequently than before and have started hitting where it really matters.
