I found this on our driveway. It is big and heavy. I can imagine the damage it can do when pierce through the flesh or skull. It seems to have been fired from AK-47 (Kalashnikov). A gift given to us during Zia’s era when the Afghan war was on.
I don’t know how things are in Lahore and Karachi but the bane of aerial firing is quite common here. When people fire bullets in the air in populated areas it is bound to land in someone’s house and many a times it either injures or kills the person on the spot.
An incident had happened a few years ago. A fresh medical graduate was busy shopping for her wedding. She was walking outside the garments shop in Saddar. A bullet hit her. She was rushed to the hospital but couldn’t survive. Personal enmity and sniper shooting was ruled out. It was concluded that she was a victim of stray bullet.
Once when I was a kid and used to hang out a lot on the rooftop, a bullet went pass close to me… so much so that I heard the swishing sound. I still remember it vividly.
Aerial firing has been banned here a number of times… but no one cares. No one.

Aerial firing is banned so people do not care
We love to do things that we should not do .
Mr. Zia ul Haq lived for himself and his family not for Pakistan… he did not bother about the consequences of his actions …
I’m thinking k hum uss “bullet” ka qarz kesay chukain who spared you for us
